- 2004 SFFU Actions
SFFU advocates for families and gets results: a meeting with the Mayor, a huge event at City Hall, and press coverage in the Chronicle and Independent newspapers.
- 1000 Postcards in 100 Days: Members and friends sent 1000 postcards to Mayor Gavin Newsom telling him to make families a priority in his city budget.
- Meeting with the Mayor: Tired of getting the postcards, Mayor Newsom met with representatives from SFFU, along with other members of the San Francisco Children's Advocacy Network, to discuss children and youth issues in the city budget.
- Rally for Kids: More than 1500 people spent a spring morning in front of City Hall asking that our civic leaders remember that they serve thousands of city children.
- Parks Rally: We let the Recreation and Park Department know that city kids need city parks, recreation centers, ball fields, and after-school and summer programs.
- Family Fest
Oh the fun we have each fall! San Francisco Families United is a sponsoring organization of the family-friendliest event in the city every year.
